Love and Teenage are the good old formula for the teenage movies. Netflix’s “The Kissing Booth” is just another example that, if done well, this genre is still in demand.
After the success of the first and second installments, the franchisee will be launching the third early next year. Due to the obvious, We are expecting a Valentine’s Day release. This makes perfect sense as the movies are classic Valentine couple flicks.
The Second and Third installments of the series were shot back to back, and hence the delay is minimal. In contrast, we got the debut and season two, two years apart. We assume the third will release merely 8-9 months after the second.
The Kissing Booth 3: Production Hiccup?
Although the official announcements haven’t come yet, there were concerns over the franchise future. For a while, we have heard chirps about a delay of some sort. This gave rise to further questions over the movie’s release. But we are here to clear the air.
None of them were about if part three was coming out. It was about when.
But that noise is also now beginning to lower as the news broke that the film has already been shot. We expect the movie to be in the final stretch. Not only that, we confirm that the movie is in post-production with Netflix.
Is it Worth the Hype?
We would reiterate the fact that the plot is not mind-blowing. It’s set on an already set mold. Trying to recreate the magic of a formula that has worked over the years.
The plot follows the story of a high school student, new to the world of romance. We follow her through the stereotypical American high-school environment. While the First movie setup the universe of the protagonist, The second extended it to many new characters.
The Kissing Booth 3 will follow our lead, Elle, as she navigates herself towards entering college. She faces a choice between one college or the other. The consequences of her choice will play a major part in the new movie.
