YOU is a psychological thriller, crime drama. This drama seems to have developed its plot from two thriller novels. One has the same name and the other Hidden Bodies, both written by Caroline Kepnes. Till now, they have come up with two seasons consisting of a total of 20 episodes. It first aired on Lifetime on September 9, 2018. Later, Netflix took over the show with a pretty good turnover in terms of ratings.
In January 2024, Netflix confirmed a YOU Season 3 for this show. Netflix also have announced the arrival of two new actors in this show Shalita Grant and Travis VanWinkle. They announced this via Twitter using their official Queue account.
They say that Shalita Grant will play Sherry, a “Mom-fluencer” in YOU, who appears down to earth, but is a mean girl who only pretends to welcome Love into her social circle. And that Travis VanWinkle will play the wealthy Cary, who invites Joe into his inner circle.
Scott Speedman will play the role of Mathew. Mathew is a successful CEO, husband, and uncommunicative father. He’s reserved. He tends to be withdrawn. And all of which masks a deep well of emotion underneath.
Speedman recently completed the production of Best Sellers. Debut was directed by Lina Roessler’s. It stars Michael Caine and Aubrey Plaza.

When will Season 3 released?
The filming of YOU did not begin early due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But, now, due to less strict restrictions and ore safety, the shoot can continue. So, due to a considerable delay in the schedule, the filming might finish up by mid-2021. So, we can expect the series to load the screens by late-2021.
