Katy Keene is Riverdale’s first spin-off. Instead of dark and twisty tales of Riverdale, it will be a musical comedy-drama television series. It is based on the four main Archie Comic character of the same name.
The series is filmed in New York City. The series will have 12 episodes only. There will be a crossover of the series with Riverdale in the future which has been confirmed by CW.
What is the series about –
“Katy Keene takes places years after Riverdale High School” said Mark Pedowitz, the president of The CW. The series shows how the four main characters of Riverdale are chasing their dreams in New York City together.
CW described the series as, “the lives and loves of four iconic Archie Comics characters — fashion legend-to-be Katy Keene, singer/songwriter McCoy, performer Jorge Lopez/Ginger, and ‘It Girl’ Pepper Smith — as they chase their twenty-something dreams in New York City, together.”

The character of Katy Keene will be played by Lucy Hale. Other than her we will see Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy, Jonny Beauchamp as Jorge Lopez/Ginger and Julia Chan as Pepper Smith.
Other than them, we will also see Camille Hyde, Lucien Laviscount, Zane Holtz, and Katherine LaNasa in the series.
