Camilla Luddington Just Became A Mother Again. Today, Grey’s Anatomy actress Camilla Luddington announced that she gave birth to her second child with her husband, Matthew Alan.
So, Camilla Luddington is now a mother of two children. The newborn baby is named Lucas. He will join the family with her three year older sister, Hayden. Camilla first announced baby Lucas’s news on Instagram today by sharing a picture of her and baby Lucas from the hospital’s bed.
After the news got spread and her co-star Giacomo Gianniotti wrote, “Welcome, Lucas! Can’t wait to socially distance meet you.”
Another co-star, Jake Borelli, added, “Awww LOVE you guys! Congrats to you and the fam. Can’t wait to mee the little lion.”
Interview of Camilla Luddington
In an interview with People, Camilla revealed that naming her baby boy was an easy decision. She admitted that Lucas “was the only boy’s name, my husband and I ever really liked.”
Camilla added, “This time, we were convinced I was having a girl again because my morning sickness was so bad, so we were already thinking of new girls’ names,” she said. “When we found out we were having a boy, we knew instantly he would be Lucas! His middle name is my husband’s [first name], Matthew.”
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the family had to get into an isolation. Luddington said that she “had more daily anxiety” with her second pregnancy than she had with her first.
Further, she added, “Our family has been isolating since March, which has come with its own challenges, but the upside is that it gave us a lot of time to be able to prepare,” she said. “Once I hit 37 weeks, I was willing him to come. Our bubble feels complete now that he’s here.”
How did Hayden handle her brother arrival? Luddington said her daughter was “wobbly” after becoming an older sister.
