Female role-models are already hard to come by, however one like Ruth Bader Ginsburg are one-in-a-million. The Supreme Court Associate Justice was serving the nation for a long time. And has made a deep impression on modern American culture ever since her debut in the public eye. Also, due to her incredible record in the states, then-President Bill Clinton put his trust into her. She became an Associate Justice on the SCOTUS on August 10th, 1993.
Unfortunately, such a fantastic leader and an inspirational personality passed away on September 18th, 2024 in Washington, D.C. She was 87 at the time but was very unwell for a long time.
Details & Information about the passing for public:-
The strength of Justice was on display not only in the professional manner but in life as well. She battled with cancer multiple times in her stint with the SC and came out on top. However, for the last few years, her health was deteriorating rapidly and she also went through multiple incidents.
Back in November 2018, she broke a few ribs after suffering a fall. Following that period she also has some tests that informed her of cancerous nodules in her lungs. They were removed a month later with surgical process. But in August 2019, the court told the public that she had undergone another round of cancer treatment, this time to treat her pancreas.
However, she succumbed to the Pancreatic Cancer after a very strong and long battle with the ruthless illness. Although she isn’t leaving without leaving another very important decision for the politicians in the top echelon.
Legacy of Justice Ginsburg and what comes next?
Ruth Bader is leaving the world as a champion and advocate for women. She was only the 2nd woman to reach the pinnacle of judiciary in the American system. After her departure, the current US President is getting some pushback because he naturally wants to replace her as soon as possible.
That kind of catches the bull by its horns because RBG wanted to not leave the post and give Trump the chance to put another Red leaning judge on the panel. The seven-person panel will receive a major boost if another conservative gets a seat.
We all can lead by Ruth’s example and work towards a better tomorrow. She’s physically not with us anymore but her legacy lives on.
“I said on the equality side of it, that it is essential to a woman’s equality with man that she be the decision-maker, that her choice be controlling.”
