There has been an official announcement by the Netflix in September,2019 that the fourth season of science fiction-horror web television series “Stranger Things” is likely to get a release in 2020-2021. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the production of the series was halted making the release date a suspense for everyone.

Millie Bobby Brown, one of the main cast of series gave us an update on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Falon:”[The crew] already shot two weeks in Lithuania… We were just about to get into it, but for everyone’s safety and well-being and health production stopped,” Brown said. “But we’re ready to get back to work as soon as this is all over.

Cast for stranger things 4

However, there are no official announcements regarding caste. Still, it is highly expected to have the same caste which includes- Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Sadie Sink (Max), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington), Hopper (David Harbour)(Yes!! Hopper is alive)and Finn Wolfhard (Mike).

At the end of the season four, everyone was emotional and was trying to figure out whether Hopper is alive or not but guess what guys!!, after watching the latest trailer of season four, it is clear that Hopper is still active. It is being estimated that he is being held in the Russian prison as a prisoner.

We are also expecting Maya Hawke (Robin) in the season four, who quickly gained a huge fan following with her appearance in the season three itself.

However, we also witnessed major characters dying, and they will not be with us in season four. Dacre Montgomery, who plays Billy, was one the favourite character of fans as he sacrificed himself to save Hawkins.

And who knows, there may be many more surprises waiting for us by Duffer Brothers!!

Filming has been started officially, although it is currently paused due to coronavirus pandemic. As soon as everything becomes fine, the shooting will be resumed.

Lithuania scenes had already been filmed, and the cast and crew were filming in Atlanta, Georgia.

The last season ended with a theatrical and emotional note where everyone believed that Hopper is dead (but the fans hoped that one of the favourite characters stay alive!!). Joyce, Will, Jonathan and Eleven packed their bags and leave Hawkins.

The eye-catching part is the return of Hopper. The teaser, however, also mentioned “We are not in Hawkins anymore” which leads to a lot of suspense to its audience.

It is expected that season four will bring some new surprises and the gang will reunite again to save Hopper.

Matt Duffer stated in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that season four is “Going to open up a little bit… not necessarily in terms of scale, in terms of special effects, but open up in terms of allowing plotlines into areas outside of Hawkins“.

This gives us a massive idea that the show creators are coming up with something exciting and mysterious outside the Hawkins.

In the end of the season three, we witnessed eleven lost all her powers after combatting Mind Flayer. However, the last season doesn’t leave us even a subtle hint that those power will return or not. But mike and fans are confident that they will. Let’s see what Duffer brothers will bring to us.

The fourth season which will consist of 9 episodes will get released worldwide on Netflix. As tweeted by the official account of stranger things that Episode 1 will be called ‘Chapter One: The Hellfire Club’, which is also the name of a supervillain group in the X-Men comics.
