If you managed to see the Community table read for Season 5 episode “Cooperative Polygraphy,” you will for sure have a question in your mind: Is Pedro Pascal in Community? Now, if you have been a longtime fan of Community and The Mandalorian, you will be disappointed in yourself by now.
You will have this critical question in your mind that how the hell did you miss that he played Mr. Stone?
Well, there is an easy answer to this dilemma. You didn’t miss it, and neither did he.
Who played Mr.Stone originally?
Walton Goggins initially portrayed Mr. Stone on ‘Community.’
To be clear, Pedro Pascal never really appeared on Community. However, Walton Goggins did. If we try to recall, in the bottle episode, in which Mr. Stone was reading Pierce Hawthorne’s will, Walton was playing the man who was helping them to reach their darkest and deepest secrets.
In that episode, he also made the study group go through a polygraph test to prove that they did not kill him.
Even before Community, Walton was a pretty well-known actor. He was a part of shows like Sons of Anarchy, Justified, and The Shield. He also was a part of certain movies, such as Django Unchained, Lincoln, and Straw Dogs. So, it is pretty clear that he had fans who were waiting to see his cameo role in the Community.
Well, so still the question is, Why did Pedro come as Mr. Stone for the table read?
As per reports, at the beginning of the table read, Dan Harmon, the creator of the show, introduced everyone who will be joining the read.
When it was time to call Pedro, he said, “Because Walton Goggins regrettably could not be here, we have at least one of the Mandalorians here himself, Mr. Pedro Pascal.” But, the shocking factor was, there was no explanation about where Walton went?
The primary concern that comes when any actor goes missing at the time of such a pandemic is that, “Are they okay?”
But, on the better part, we saw Walton is doing good and is in-touch with his fans on Instagram almost regularly. So, the next question that arises is, is there any fight with the creator or the team? Well, no such information is out yet.
But, the fans can’t stop thinking about the fact that he skipped such an important event without a reason.
We all know that shows cannot be in production right now, but that does not mean that the other works related to the show cannot be done remotely. So, this makes Walton a busy man who is in demand right now.
We can indeed say that we were sad not to see Walton continuing his role in Community, but we do think that he would have liked and appreciated Pedro’s performance. He gave a stellar performance in this role, and his ability to talk about Pierce Hawthorne’s sperm with the class was commendable.
