The libel trial of Johnny Depp Vs. The Sun tabloid is catching fire. Although the case started when Depp’s side complained and sued The Sun. They pointed to an article where Johnny is termed as a “wife-beater.” However, there’s no mention of the terms “alleged” or “accused,” as there should ideally be. This is especially important when Depp has not been convicted or proven guilty of Domestic Battery by any jury.
Judicial hearings over Johnny Depp vs. The Sun tabloid:-
The trials over the matter started in a London court in July of 2024. Johnny’s representatives have kept themselves stuck to the fact that it’s wrong for any person to be termed as a criminal until convicted. The system of law has always believed in ‘Innocent until Proven Guilty,” and that should be the case for Depp.
The Sun lawyers, on the other hand, have brought in his Ex-Wife Amber Heard who alleged the actor of being violent during the relationship.
Another spanner in the works is the fact that not only does he deny these allegations, he has some of his own. Depp has alleged that Amber Heard was an abusive partner. As per his story, Heard was a heavy drinker and drug-user, which lead to her being aggressive towards his then-husband. Also, there are lots of nasty instances, corroborated by various people like the house-maid and the cook.
The Public Opinion on the issue:-
People in masses tend to make rash judgments, but that doesn’t mean they can be ignored. In this case, there’s no backing for The Sun tabloid. Fans of the Hollywood superstar, Johnny Depp, have made themselves heard on social media platforms over their resentment towards The Sun.
However, with domestic abuse being such a big issue all over the globe, everyone needs to be responsible. Amber Heard’s claims have, so far, not convinced many. Although, as a woman, she has gotten support from people who follow the theory of “believe all women.”
Another reason why Amber does have some ground is because she’s been constant with one point. She says she never wanted to go public with whatever she allegedly suffered during the marriage with Depp.
No matter what the jury decides, one thing we all can take away is that success and fame cannot bring you happiness. You need to love people around you to be Prosperous and have a Merry life.
