Good news for fans. The next season of the American science fiction television series The Expanse will be coming soon. The shooting of The Expanse: Season 5 has finished before the pandemic hit. Now we can look forward to the next season sooner than we thought possible.

Possible Release Date of Season 5 –
Though the shooting of Season 5 has completed, there is much to do. As the Pandemic hit the world right after the shooting was completed, the editing couldn’t be done as quickly so, the series is not yet ready to be aired right now. The crew needs time to work on the series. So, we can’t expect the series to be aired right now.
However, we don’t have to wait for much longer either. Even though the official release date is yet to be confirmed, we can expect it much sooner now. The earliest possible release date will be by the end of 2024. In the meantime we can binge-watch the other seasons. You can find all the seasons in Amazon Prime now.
What to Expect in Season 5 –
Season 5 will be based on the 2015 science fiction novel Nemesis Games by James S. A. Corey. The novel, Nemesis Games, narrates the increase in interruptions around the solar system, once again people come out to the gates of the ring due to the power that Earth and Mars possess.
Season 5 will focus a lot on the personal life of the crew members. Amos Burton heads to Earth, and Alex Kamal heads to Mars to visit his wife. On the other hand, Naomi Nagata’s past comes back to hunt her again. Episode 8 will be focus on her. The author posted on Twitter, “Naomi Nagata is the Biggest Badass in Space”. While all this is going on, Jim Holden does his best to stop the rebel forces that are gaining importance day by day.

Lily Gao’s Nancy, the newly appointed Secretary-General of the United Nations, will also return in season 5. We will also see more of Chad L. Coleman.
Thomas Jane will be directing an episode and will also be appearing as Detective Joe Millar in a few episodes.
