Spoilers and Predictions:
Two young boys, Asta and Yuno, are the central characters of ‘Black Clover.’ As children, a priest found them at the step of a church. The priest recognises that their parents have disowned them. So he determines to take them in. He provides them home inside the church’s orphanage. And the place becomes their home for the rest of their life.
In the world of ‘Black Clover,’ procuring magical abilities is not an opportunity of any kind. It is something that almost everyone matures with time. And thus, like all the other boys Asta and Yuno hope to become a great magician someday. However, with time Yuno gets closer to this dream with every passing day, Asta seems to have little difficulty with the abilities. His reckless behaviour additionally ruins his reputation and make him the laughing stock of the orphanage. Thus, he grows the feelings of jealousy for Yuno but isn’t able to do anything about it.
So he decided to train himself relentlessly. He works physically to make up for his lack of magical abilities, but it doesn’t help at all. Then finally comes the day of the usual Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony. Yuno’s excellent magical skills help him acquire a four-leaf clover. In the meantime, Asta is failed all over again and received nothing.
While leaving the venue of the ceremony, a group of nobles attacked Yuno, and a former Knight tries to steal his Grimoire. Asta steps up to protect his friend from the Knight but fails to do so. As a result, his hidden anger finally unleashes, and all his magical abilities turned surface.
