Six Years is a thriller mystery novel written by Harlan Coben. The book has been nominated for the Goodreads Choice Awards Best Mystery & Thriller. The story of the book takes a surprising turn where the main character questions everything. It starts as a romantic book but soon turns into one of the best mystery-thriller books.
The story is eyed by many to make it into a movie. Finally Netflix did it. Director David Ayer will be working on this project. The director has worked on movies like Suicide Squad, The Fast and The Furious, etc. Now he will be working with Netflix.
Plot of the movie –
The book follows a college professor, Jake Fisher, who has lost his love of life, Natalie, to another man, Todd. After six hears when he hears that Natalie’s husband died, he couldn’t help himself from going to the funeral. He went there with the hope of reconnecting with Natalie. However, it turns out that the woman weeping for her late husband is not Natalie.
From here on the story takes a turn. Jake takes a trip back to Vermont where the mutual friends of the couple either don’t remember him or cant be found. It turns out no one has seen Natalie for years.
Soon Jake starts to question his whole past and Natalie. It seems like his whole past is a well-fabricated lie and amidst it all, he finds out that the man Natalie supposedly married, Todd, was murdered. Jake’s life is also in danger. Will Jake be able to find out the truth?
We will see what David Ayer does with the movie. Can’t wait for the movie.
