It was revealed that Josh Gad had set a Ghostbusters cast and crew reunion on June 15, 2024. Josh Gad revisits the popular movie franchises through their actors in ‘Reunited Apart’ streaming on YouTube. So far, Josh has been hosting four episodes, each of length half an hour to one hour.

These include reunions with the casts of:

  • The Goonies
  • Back to the Future
  • Splash
  • Lord of the Rings – Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan, Orlando Bloom, and Sir Ian McKellan

In the concluding part of the last video, Gad hinted to the viewers about the Ghostbusters reunion playing the signature theme song from the film.

Ghostbusters Reunion Date Updates:

Previously it was reported that the reunion would happen on June 8, 2024. However, Josh Gad confirmed that it was not the case. He posted a tweet on his account, announcing that he will bring the cast of Ghostbusters soon.

Who will join the reunion?

There was a preview that showed Josh Gad speaking with Jason Reitman, the director of the upcoming film, Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Also, his father, Ivan, joins in. Thus, we had a glimpse of the forthcoming video, and, undoubtedly, both Reitmans will be a part of the reunion scheduled on Reunited Apart.

Also, many other actors from the Ghostbusters franchise will join in. These include Annie Potts, who plays the secretary of the team, and Janine Melnitz. Though we could only see some snippets in the video, we will see Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver.

Rick Moranis – Out of the reunion?

However, there have been no traces of Rick Moranis in the preview. We do not know if he might make a surprise appearance. Moranis grabbed the opportunity and lived it to the fullest in both Ghostbusters: Answer the Call, and the upcoming film Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Thus, there are slim chances that he might be eager to join the digital reunion with the other members of the cast. However, we could not predict anything at the moment.

Ghostbusters Reunion: When and where?

Reunited Apart by Josh Gad that is going to host the Ghostbusters reunion will stream on YouTube at 9:00 a.m. PT, which is 12:00 p.m. EST. The Reitmans and other cast members will reunite on Gad’s official YouTube channel. The funds that are raised from this get invested towards the benefit of the organization Equal Justice Initiative. This organization works to try to put an end to mass incarceration, excessive punishment, and racial inequality.

The fans who were eager to see the original Ghostbusters team coming together again will not have to wait till the release of the movie. Josh Gad will soon reunite them on his YouTube channel in Reunited Apart.
