Taboo Season 1: Plot Details
The first season of Taboo digs deep into the dark side of London in the 19th century, which includes business and political corruption and lower class suffering from it. The series follows the story of a man named James Delaney who, after his father’s death, decides to return to England from Africa with 14 stolen diamonds.

After dropping the first season on January 7, 2017, in the United Kingdom and on January 10, 2017, in the United States, The writers began to think about writing the next season. However, their tight schedules haven’t let them to make space for Taboo in 2018. As for Tom Hardy, he was busy performing in Venom. In 2019, Knight revealed that he is done writing the script, and the fans can expect the filming of the second season in early 2024, but then again, 2024 wasn’t just a good year for filming. So if the filming begins in late 2024, later the series will be premiered sometime in December 2021.
