How I Met Your Mother is one of the best series from the comedy genre. It makes people laugh and cry with the beautiful and constant story plots. Also, one of the saddest things in this series happens when Max dies who was the former boyfriend of Tracy, and he died on Tracy’s 21st birthday, in September 2005, and this is making this even more painful. At that, he was going to give Ukulele to Tracy as a birthday gift.
How did max die?
In How I Met You Mother, Max did not kill himself. It was real quick anything is not mentioned. He did not suffer from any illness or disease before Tracy had called about his demise.
It was a prediction of a car accident as Tracy mentioned he did not get a cab to meet her at her 21st birthday party.
What happened towards the end of How I Met Your Mother?
Tracy was broken at that time of era, and she didn’t date anyone for 7 years until she met Louis. After a few years of dating one day, she realized that still she is a little broken piece, and didn’t move on from Max when Louis proposed her at Farhampton.
She also realized that she did not allow herself to love Louis. She had a conversation with hypothetical Max, asking for his permission to move on and get engaged. After that mother says no to Louis’s proposal of engagement.

For Tracy, Max was her Robin. The one she cannot live without. After review comes of the series finale people observe that Tracy returned to Max in death and, she was mirroring Ted ultimately returning to Robin in 2030. Also, some audiences are saying that Max faked his death to keep safe the mother.
Max’s father also lessened, when she remarked that Max is in heaven playing baseball with his dad.
