Were you trying to know about Justice League 2 release date, cast, and more? Here’s your dose of information about the much-awaited DC comics movie.
The American superhero film Justice League released in 2017 was a treat to all the DC fans, wasn’t it? It was announced as Justice League part 1, and the second part was supposed to be released. Conversely, circumstances led to a disappointing turn in the story- Justice League part 2 was put to an indefinite hold.
Why did Justice League fail?
Justice League didn’t prove to be very pleasing for the fans. Or maybe, the expectations were damn too high! But, why won’t fans expect much when the movie included power-packed characters like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Aquaman? The expectations were fair enough!
Lovers of all these dynamic characters were insanely excited only to get shocked at the failure. Written by Chris Terrio and Joss Whedon, the movie was an essential follow-up of Batman vs. Superman.
Ending of Justice league and plot of the second part
In the movie, all the heroes namely, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg, join hands to rescue the world from Steppenwolf. The end showed a tragic end of the villain Steppenwolf and paved the way for a new antagonist in the next part. All of us have for sure heard about a new negative character, Darkseid being the antagonist in section 2 of Justice League, right?
The star-studded cast was one of the things people loved about the movie. After all, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Henry Covill, and other actors are indeed our favorites!
But, Justice League, unfortunately, lagged in comparison with the chartbuster performances of movies like Wonder Woman and Aquaman. This put a big question mark on the release of the second part of the Justice League.
The question that arises here is- What went wrong with Justice League 2?
Actually and factually speaking, there’s a lot that went against the aspirations of both the makers and the audience. There was a repeated delay in the production amidst Synder stepping down as the director. Wait! The list of tragedies does not end there. Added to the misery were clashing dates of the cast and irregular framing of the schedules.
Later, the focus shifted from Justice League 2 to upcoming projects like Magic Woman 2 and The Flash, which are set to launch in 2022, say some speculations.
Justice League 2 canceled?
Well, though the hopes are less, we can’t just assume that the second part of the Justice League won’t ever be released. However, most of the people don’t see the movie coming within at least half a decade!
Let’s hope for the best, though! Stay tuned for more updates.
