The movie will be directed by Matt Reeves who earlier directed, ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’. A news broke out by Variety, that Robert Pattinson has been cast as Batman in the new movie leaving behind Nicholas Hoult for the role.

Recently, Esquire U.K. interviewed Pattinson, in which he was found describing putting the bat suit for the first time as a transformative experience. Also, he added that he has never thought this to be true in his wildest of dreams.

Former Twilight star, Kristen Stewart, co-star and ex-girlfriend of Pattinson endorsed him on Variety. She also said that Robert is the only guy who will be able to put out that role well. She seem to be very happy for him, and the feel is amazing.

THR, reported in December, that Peter Sarsgaard will also be joining the cast of Batman. The news was confirmed by Reeves later on Twitter. He may be seen playing a corrupted cop or Harvey Dent, District Attorney who later turns into two-face.
